Hello! This is Yuri the Ukeaholic, and I’d like to welcome you to Ukeaholic.com

This is a brand new website, so it will be developed over the coming weeks and months.

In A Nutshell…

After decades of playing guitar, I picked up a Uke a few years ago and haven’t put it down yet! I still love guitar, but I have to testify to the truth of a statement I was once told… that “you can’t play a Ukulele for long without smiling!” In fact, I was also told that playing Ukulele promotes “smile-itis”! It’s true! Ukulele is an amazing “feel good” instrument.

Hand Made Ukes

My passion for Ukuleles has led me to seek out makers of the instrument all over the world. I personally restore old Ukes, but I’m now in contact with some amazing Ukulele makers in Vietnam who are making beautiful hand made Ukes for me to my specifications.

The Ukes are made from beautiful solid timbers including koa, flame maple, red mahogany, walnut and others.

When they’re finished, they send them to me and I set them up and fit them with Aquila strings. Aquila Ukulele strings are in my opinion the best Uke strings in the world. Many of the worlds best Uke players also agree with me, and wouldn’t play with anything else.

I also have access to some beautiful mandolins, charangos and even balalaikas. This is something I do for a hobby, and I sell them at wholesale prices, in fact they are usually only half the price you would pay in the shops.
